Custom e-Commerce Shopping Carts

Darkstar Media has built a wide range of e-Commerce websites over the years. Why customers come to us is because we can build the shopping cart to specifications that will work seamlessly with their products and method of doing business.

One very important feature to mention is that the shopping carts we build for you,  can be fully managed by you. You will have the ability to track orders, add products, feature specific items, and we can integrate the website into a full content management system (CMS). We can even integrate it into Wordpress if that works with your current website.

Some client we have built e-commerce shopping carts for are:

4 level Wordpress collapsible menu

I was having some problem creating a dynamic 4 level wordpress menu. I finally came across this script which works like a charm. http://curtishenson.com/dynamic-multi-level-page-menus-in-wordpress/ .

I have attached a screen shot, Im sure the first thing you will say is that it is 3 levels.. but I am starting at the second level and the first level is at the top of the page.  This is a re-post, yet worth mentioning as when I finally found it, it saved me lots of time of trying to figure it out myself. Thanks Curtis.

Canadian Health Matters is launched

We are pleased to announce the launch of Canadian Health Matters. For this website we build a text messaging (SMS) function which allows users to send a text message from a phone to a website database, and then receive a response back to their phone. This is a whole new field for us and opens up endless possibilities for full interaction for lead generation, company intranets and customer promotions just to name a few. We worked hand in hand with OMG to build and design this website. Another feature of this website is that it was built using Wordpress as the back-end content management system (CMS).

Darkstar Media launches soYoungMother.com

We integrated a custom shopping cart into Wordpress for this e-commerce website. A warehousing and logistics specialist was used to manage product inventory, shipping rates and automatic order placement. This guarantees that users would only buy items which were on hand and give them multiple shipping price options. We worked hand in hand with Jar Creative who handled all the creative elements of this project to create one of our finest websites yet.

Please be sure to go visit  soYoungMother.com and check out their stylish Lunch Boxes, Cooler Bags, and their signature Diaper Bags.

Viral Marketing using youtube

I received an email today from The Printing House which links to a series of youtube videos. It is an attempt at Viral Marketing and is just silly enough that I was able to forgive the obvious product placement and scroll through all the videos. I have contributed to it by passing these links on, you be the judge whether this is a good campaign or not. The Printz Episode Two: Kitchen Policy
